Yay!

I'm just reading a book called Sulphate 77 by a guy called Barry Cain (who used to write for Record Mirror). Last night I read a bit which is a review of a Radiators from Space gig in Dublin in 1977. The Undertones seem to have been the support band and they are described as, "...a five piece with potential." Apparently they sung Anarchy in the UK and changed one line to Resist the UK.

hi every body,
sadly I had to cancel my trip to UK. By the way, the flight companies refunded me approximately 50% of the amount paid for the tickets... should I try to see the glass half full, then? wait and listen it all.
now, the very bad part of it all is that I have lost the opportunity to see the concert! ARGHHHHH! quite unsurprisingly, no refund at all is possible for the tickets I have bought in advance for le Beat Bespoke night (even if a reply by mail from the venue and the ticket company would have been appreciated).
I believe it is not very kind to say, and obviously out or against the spirit of the forum, but: if any of you want 2 tickets for this concert, can send me a mail, and I will tell him my access code. that's really not for the money, I just would like to be there, and since it is not possible, somebody should be there in my place.

Hi All

Posted this on the other Forum...

Anyone fancy a meet up before hand.

There is a pub called THE ALBANY
240 Great Portland Street
London W1W 5QU

just near Gt Portland Tube Station (opposite the venue).

Anyone up for it?

Well just got in....and got to say... that was the best night ever watching the Tones.
The sound was spot on.
The band seemed to be enjoying it.
The set was blistering.
The crowd were up for it from the 1st Number.
...and the venue afterward turned into a 1960s nightclub. 3 rooms dedicated to soul, Motown and 60s Mod....
:P

Sire was having the time of his life.
The best night ever watching the Tones.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, and off to an alcohol enthused sleep with a smile....

(ps... not one capitalization either!!!)
Cheers all
Sire

There will be a couple of things going up on YouTube too, after the weekend. Enjoy!

dear Sire,
did it really had to be the best night watching the Tones? This particular night? I'm feeling incredibly sorry and angry for having missed it, I had been waiting for and dreaming this concert for months. I believe that coping with that would have been easier without these comments... :D
However, just joking, it's good to hear that the band is in great shape and that the gig was nice: chances are that the next ones will be so as well, right?
Everybody at the forum have an happy Easter (btw: I'm reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman, and there is a funny part with Easter herself...!);

Another great gig, big venue and large "mod" crowd, mainly dressed in 60s regalia.

A few pics- vid clip to follow

Forgot to say, Lets Talk About a Girls made a welcome return to the set (in tribute I think to the Chocolate Watch Band who had played there recently, I believe)
