Me and my 4-year-old daughter live in a wee town near Munich in Bavaria, myself I am 39 years old and I work in a hospital as a case-mix performer.
The Undertones are "my" band since 27 years and well...I've never once seen them live which is one of my lifetime-traumas.
But that should be something, that can be changed.
So, here's two girls waiting, the beer is gorgeous and many bavarians need a good lesson in culture. ;)
See you!

Welcome to the Forum Alcina.

Now a gig in Munich...... now I do fancy a trip to Munich.
Come on Tones, sort one out for us.... :-)

Thank you, Sire.

I fancy that aswell, only question is, if the lads do.
And I ask myself, if they were properly valued and welcomed last time they were here. Any inspirations how we could make a trip to Munich more tempting to them ?
OK, I cook divinely, have secret insider knowledge and speak Bavarian with a Derry accent, but if that’ll convince them…
I am not even a big shot in my hometown, otherwise I’d pull some strings.

Oh there are even more reasons.
:D

You're a Schwyzer ? Cool...my stepmom is aswell.
So first we do Munich and then Zürich.
And Munich again.

No, no, sorry if I confused you.
I am a proper Bavarian, born in Munich and eversince living here.
And Alcina is just a virtual name coming from my fave opera by Händel. ;)
Yet I do have a strong bonding with (Northern) Ireland since I can think and for many reasons.
And I remember when I was a kid a mate (being a Derry wan) of my Da once said: yeer Bavarian got a Derry slang, which impressed me big time. Probably the sound/melody of my slang reminded him of home, tho I can’t really hear many similarities.
I use to roll my R a bit harder…

I'm speechless.
Do you know that I've been waiting for this day since nearly 27 years ?

They must have read your plead for Munich! I loved to read your entries about the songs, it is all how we feel about this great band. They made some great tunes who set in your mind so, recognition in reading your article!! Live, they are a class apart . if you have visited the Munich show you'll certainly for ever be adicted to their music!! You be warned!

Uh....you reckon it was me ???

Thank you loads, Moondogs, I nearly thought, I might have just written too much about my personal masterpieces...but well, that's passion I guess and I'm glad to hear from you, that it's appreciated.
So - you bet I am addicted.
Still can't believe, they really come.
(They've chosen a place in the neighbourhood of the Hofbräuhaus....well...must be a coincidence  )
I was just the other day thinking of getting in touch with Gunther Murphy, the owner of the most legendary Irish Pub (I used to live in...well, not literally) in Munich and ask him, if he'd be willing to start a mission with me to get The Undertones to town...the world is funny at times.

Many greetings!
