I'm really looking forward to seeing this. How good would it be if the BBC decided to make it a whole Undertones evening and also showed "Green Rock", the "Teenage Kicks" film from a few years ago plus "Shell Shock Rock"?!

Does anyone know any more about what will be included in the documentary?

So it looks like the BBC are in fact showing a documentry called "So Hard to Beat" on the Northern Ireland music scene of the past 40 years (that of course includes the Undertones) plus the Undertones film from a few years ago.

Grüezi, Ötzi,
BBC, eh? Blocking the continent - this didn't just once pee me off.
I'll get a copy, so if I copy that one, I can send you it.
Contact me here or via fb (Anette Officinalis) and we sort something out.
Greez!

I thought last night's documentary on BBC4 was great - made me appreciate all the reasons I love the Undetones. As far as I could tell it was a brand new production which compares very well to the 'Teenage Kicks' DVD from 2004. Apart from the total absence of Feargal my only criticism was the omission of Paul and any post 1999 activity. Still it was nice to see some faces from way back - including the real cousin Kevin! :D

Hi folks, just finished watching the documentary and was impressed. I am not a devoted Undertones fan but it reminded me of how great their music was and still is. I saw them in 1983 (I think) at Crystal Palace football ground, they were supporting Peter Gabriel (alongside Thompson Twins and Gasper Lawal) and I recall it being one of their last shows. They were spectacular and despite being faced with a predominantly older audience, they were a highlight of the day.

Whilst watching the documentary, I heard a song that I liked but did not recognise...it was towards the end of the film whilst the band were talking about The Sin Of Pride and the break up. The lyric included "what is love" repeated. Can anyone help me with the title?

Thanks in advance.
