I have to hold my hand up as a 40+ first generation Undertones fan.

However, I know that there are more than a few girl fans out there.
Jane, Jo, Tina, Louise. Where are you :?:

So what's it like being 47 Kate?
I get there in less than 6 months time so is there anything I need to know?

Being from Norn Iron I was a first generation fan as well - a regular visitor to the first floor premises in Great Victoria Street that was Good Vibrations Records.
Buying music was such fun then wasn't it?

I still think of myself as a teenage bloke - it drives the wife mad

My life has changed so much since I hit 47 in December. I am thoroughly enjoying every age, you really do have to live each day. :P

Ha! know what you mean. My wife childminds, and she reckons that having me around is like adding to her number of kids. In fact she reckons I am more hard work....

We may be middle aged butwe can pogo with the best of them.Ive been to a few concerts recently and one thing that really annoys me is the people that throw drink towards the front .I actually grabbed one of these little fuckers recently and he told me its part of the fun.Now I know Im middle aged.

Good to have some philosophy on here....

What about this one - live fast, love hard, die young. That's a song title by a bloke called Faron Young although the first version I heard was by Nick Lowe (who else?) The lyrics appeal to me....

I wanna live fast, love hard. die young
And leave a beautiful memory.
Don't want slow walkin' or sad singin'
Let 'em have a jubilee
I wanna leave a lot of happy women
A thinking pretty thoughts of me.
I wanna live fast. love hard, die young
And leave a beautiful memory.
I got a hot-rod car and a cowboy suit
And I really do get around
I got a little black book and the gals look cute
And I know the name of every spot in town.
I wanna find 'em, fool 'em, leave 'em
And let 'em do the same to me
I wanna live fast. love hard, die young
And leave a beautiful memory.

Hello all.
Me and my 4-year-old daughter live in a wee town near Munich in Bavaria, myself I am 39 years old and I work in a hospital as a case-mix performer.
The Undertones are "my" band since 27 years and well...I've never once seen them live which is one of my lifetime-traumas.
But that should be something, that can be changed.
So, here's two girls waiting, the beer is gorgeous and many bavarians need a good lesson in culture. ;)
See you!

Das unterschreibe ich gerne mehrfach! ;)

When they were in Munich in 2007, I was in hospital fighting the fight of my lifetime.
Well, obviously I won.
They played the 'tones while my surgery, so I at least had something of them if I couldn't be at the gig. Plus one of the docs was an Undertones-fan big time.
(Not that I heard much then, but it must have been...bloody special).
Four months earlier, Family Entertainment et al. had rocked me through labour.
Anyway, I now officially can confirm the plausible healing-effect of The Undertones.
