You can only take one album with you....

Postby Sire » Tue Mar 31, 2009 12:18 am

OK perhaps the forum needs some simple threads to generate some traffic, so here goes.
Please contribute, even if its a one-liner...

So, you are at the Purley Gates, carrying every Undertone LPs ever made, and St Peter stops you at the entrance...
" hey you cant take all those LPs in. Pick one only and leave the rest"

So which one would you take with you? Which Tones album will be the one that never leaves you?

for me its a choice between...
- The Undertones
- Hypnotised
- DYD

...and my final decision... its got to be The very 1st LP....

come on folks, am I right on this?

cheers
Sire.

Got to be the 1st. album - but you could always try sneaking in with a small mp3 player secretly tucked away somewhere with all the albums on - got to be worth a try. :)

If push comes to shove it'd have to be 'Hypnotised'. Nothing wrong with the first LP but to me the second one will always be the best. :D

Has to be the first album, without doubt the greatest collection of pop songs ever written and probably never to be surpassed. ( bit of a no brainer really when you think about it )

I would pick All Wrapped Up .That way you get all the hits plus the b sides.Does that count.

If heaven actually existed (which like santa, the tooth fairy and Alex's dress sense, it doesn't) then I would have to forsake any Undertones albums and instead opt for Hymns by Johnny Cash (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hymns_by_Johnny_Cash). If there was a god then the man in black would be first in line up there so best to play it save. And with my track record I would need all the help I could get.
