That's a great idea Wilke. Come on lads if any of you are reading this. How about a Tones Unplugged session as a wee pre tour warming up here in Derry. Upstairs in Sandinos would be a great venue for that.

In case anyone missed the official e-mail regarding this:

THREE TONES GO DUTCH

Fine Fine Music is a twice a year tour by upcoming bands in Holland supported by a ‘name’ artist. This year three of The Undertones are that name.

27 May: Tilburg 013
28 May Nijmegen Doornroosje
29 May Oss Groene Engel
30 May Zwolle Hedon
31 May Rotterdam Watt
2 June Amsterdam Paradiso
3 June Utrecht Helling
5 June Groningen Vera
6 June Enschede Atak
7 June Delft Speakers

Tickets: www.ticketservice.nl

I’d stress that it is NOT the full Undertones line up, but John, Damian and Paul from the band with a luxury assortment of acoustic versions of Undertones classics and a sprinkling of delicious and surprising treats from the sweet shop of rock and roll. Cover versions, in other words. And that the rehearsals are so far sounding splendid. It's all going to be delicious yet kind to teeth.

I'd not given the concept of 'The Undertones - unplugged' much thought before. Which songs do people reckon would sound best played acoustically?

Off to Amsterdam/Utrecht for gigs 1/6 and return on 4/6.

Anyone else going to any of the gigs?

Hawk,

I'll be going to Amsterdam and Utrecht, as will no doubt Julius. Watch out in Utrecht, the venue is out of the city centre on an industrial estate 10-15 mins walk from the rail station. The venue's website is www.tivoli.nl and you need the Helling, not the main Tivoli location. Let me know if you need any info.
Cheers
Paul

Paul (Stote),

Thanks for that - hopefully see you and Julius at the gigs.
Will be in touch if necessary.
The address I jotted down is:
Tivoli De Helling
Helling 7
3523 CB Utrecht.

Is this right?
